College student uploads 'totally not racist' video — and it's racist

Samuel Hendrickson, a college student in Indiana, uploaded a video yesterday called "Why I'd Hate To Be Asian (Totally Not Racist)," that (surprise!) is totally racist. Hendrickson's nuanced reasons include: all Asians look alike, sweatshops are bad, he’s not attracted to Asian women and he wouldn’t like having to eat sushi all the time. Because, yep, that’s the essence of being Asian. The video went viral overnight, and the backlash was immediate. Hendrickson tweeted, "I'd like to apologize to the asian community for my video, 'Why Id Hate To Be Asian' I do not hate Asians, nor am I racist. It was a joke #yup." He later removed the video from his Facebook page and tweeted, "Only I could manage to get an entire race to hate me in just one night. Dear Lord. Lol." [Source]
